Lailat-ul-Qadr – The night of strength

In this night time (twenty seventh of Ramadan), the Holy Quran become despatched down from LOH-E-MEHFOOZ (the Preserved pill) to the earth. Messenger of ALLAH (benefits of Allah and peace be on him) instructed us to search for Shab-e-Qadr inside the strange numbered nights, inside the closing ten days of Ramzan. So, the twenty first, twenty third, twenty fifth, twenty seventh or 29th night of Ramadan may be Shab-e-Qadr.

 

Hazrat Aisha Radiallah Anha said that Rasool Allah peace be upon him stated, “look for Lailat-Ul-Qadr within the odd nights of the remaining ten days of Ramadhan.” (Bukhari)

 

Hazrat Aisha Radiallah Anha stated that as an awful lot Rasool Allah peace be upon him tried (Ibadat) inside the ultimate Ashra (ten days) of Ramadhan, did not attempt in any of the Ashra.” (Muslim)

 

Hazrat Aisha Radiallah Anha said that I asked Rasool Allah peace be upon him, “If I discover Lailatul Qadar then what should I do? HE peace be upon him said, recite this Dua.”ALLAH HUMMA INNAKA A’FUVUN TOHIB BUL AFVA FA’AFU ANNI” (Tirmidhi)

“ALLAH HUMMA INNAKA A’FUVUN TOHIB BUL AFVA FA’AFU ANNI” (Tirmidhi)

“O Allah! You’re the Forgiver and you want forgiving so forgive me”

 

21st night time of Ramadhan-Ul-Mubarak – 1st night time of Laitlat-Ul-Qadr

 

1) Pray four cycles of formality prayer (raka’t) (2 cycles of 2 raka’ each).

In every raka’, after Surah FATIHA recite Surah QADR (Inna anzalna .. )once and Surah IKHLAS (Qul-hu-wal-lah..) as soon as. After of completion recite SALAAT-O-SALAAM (Durood Sharif) seventy (70) instances. Click right here for Durood web page.

Advantage: Insha Allah, Angels will pray for forgivenss for that person.

 

2) offer 2 cycles of ritual prayer (raka’t)

In each raka’, after Surah FATIHA, recite Surah QADR once and Surah IKHLAS three times. After finishing touch of this salah, recite any Astaghfar seventy times.

Astaghfar: “Allah Hummagh Fir Li Wa tub A’laiyya Inna Ka Innta Tawwabur Raheem” OR “Astaghfirullah Rabbi Min Kulli Zambiyon Wa Atoobu ilaiyh”

3) on this night (21st), recite Surah QADR 21 times.

 

Twenty third night of Ramadhan-Ul-Mubarak – 2d night of Laitlat-Ul-Qadr

 

1) offer four cycles of formality prayer (raka’t) (2 sets of 2 raka’ every)

In every raka’, after Surah FATIHA, recite Surah QADR once and Surah IKHLAS 3 instances.

Advantage: powerful for forgivness of sins.

 

2) offer eight cycles of formality prayer (raka’) (4 sets of two raka’ each)

In every raka’, after Surah FATIHA, recite Surah QADR and Surah IKHLAS once. After of entirety of this salah (namaaz) recite the 1/3 kalima (Kalima Tamjeed) 70 instances. After that, plead to Allah Almighty for forgiveness of sins.

Kalima Tamjeed: “Subhan Allahi Wal Hamdu Lillahi Wa la ilaaha illal laho Walla Hu Akbar.Wala Haowla Wala Quwwata illa Billa Hil Aliyil Azeem”. Click here for Arabic textual content of Kalima Tamjeed.

Advantage: Allah willing (Insha’Allah), Allah will forgive whoever plays this prayer

 

three) in the twenty third night time recite Surah YAASEEN as soon as and Surah RAHMAAN as soon as.

 

25th night of Ramadhan-Ul-Mubarak – third night of Laitlat-Ul-Qadr

 

1) on this night time provide 4 cycles of ritual prayer (raka’t) (2 units of two raka’ each)

After Surah FATIHA, recite Surah QADR one time and Surah IKHLAS 5 times in each raka’. After of entirety of this salat recite the first Kalima Tayyab a hundred instances.

Benifit: Insha Allah, Allah Tala will supply him/her unlimited Sawab (true Deeds)

 

2) offer 4 cycles of formality prayer (raka’) (2 units of 2 raka’ each)

In each raka’, after Surah FATIHA, recite Surah QADR 3 times and Surah IKHLAS 3 instances. After completion of this salah, recite any Astaghfar 70 instances.

Astaghfar: “Allah Hummagh Fir Li Wa bath A’laiyya Inna Ka Innta Tawwabur Raheem” OR “Astaghfirullah Rabbi Min Kulli Zambiyon Wa Atoobu ilaiyh”

benefit: This salat is right for the pardoning of sins.

 

Three.Offer  cycles of formality prayer (raka’).

In each raka’, after Surah FATIHA, recite Surah QADR once and Surah IKHLAS fifteen times. After Salat, recite the second one Kalima (Kalima-e-Shahaadat) 70 instances.

Kalima Shaadat: “Ashadu Anlaa ilaaha illal Lahu Wa Ash Hadu Anna Mohammadan Abduhu Wa Rasoolohu”. Click right here for Arabic text of Kalima Shaadat.

Gain: The praise of this namaaz is freedom from the punishment of the grave.

 

4) Recite Surah Dukhan. Allah inclined (Insha’Allah) they will be granted freedom from the punishment of grave.

 

Five) Recite Surah Fath seven instances. Beneficial for the success of desires and wishes.

 

Twenty seventh night of Ramadhan-Ul-Mubarak – 4th night time of Laitlat-Ul-Qadr

 

1) inside the 27th night time, pray 12 cycles of formality prayer (raka’) (three set of four raka’ each)

In each raka’, after Surah FATIHA, recite Surah QADR as soon as and Surah IIKHLAS fifteen times. After salah recite any Astaghfar 70 times.

Astaghfar: “Allah Hummagh Fir Li Wa bathtub A’laiyya Inna Ka Innta Tawwabur Raheem” OR “Astaghfirullah Rabbi Min Kulli Zambiyon Wa Atoobu ilaiyh”

benefit: Inhsa Allah, Allah tala will deliver sawab equal to Ibadah of Ambiya Karam’s (Messengers of Allah) Ibadah.

 

2) Pray  cycles of ritual prayer (raka’).

In every raka’, after Surah FATIHA recite Surah QADR three instances and Surah IKHLAS 27 instances, and plead to Allah for the forgiveness of sins.

Benefit: Allah willing (Insha’Allah), the Allah Almighty will forgive all their previous sins.

 

3) Pray four cycles of ritual prayer (raka’). (2 sets of two raka’ every).

In every raka’, after Surah FATIHA, recite Surah TAKAASUR once and Surah IKHLAS 3 instances.

Benefit: Whoever offers this salah, they’ll be stored from complication at the time of dying, and Allah willing (Insha’Allah), they may be freed from the punishment of the grave.

 

4) Pray  cycles of ritual prayer (raka’).

In every raka’, after Surahh FATIHA, recite Surah IKHLAS seven instances and after salah recite this seventy instances:

“ASTAGHFIRUL LAA HAL AZEEMAL LAZEE LAA ILAAHA ILLA HUWAL HAIY YUL QAYYOOMU WA ATOOBU ILAIH”

Benfit: earlier than the individual receives up from the praying vicinity, Allah Almighty will pardon them and their dad and mom, and Allah Almighty will Command the angels to enhance the Paradise for them and it’s miles said that they will not die until they see the benefits (ne’mat) of Paradise with their very own eyes.

 

Five) Pray two cycles of ritual prayer (raka’).

In every raka’, after Surah FATIHA, recite Surah ALAM’NASHRAH once, Surah IKHLAS three instances and after salah, recite Surah QADR 27 instances.

Benefit: Effecive for unlimited Sawab of Ibadah.

 

6) Pray four cycles of ritual prayer (raka’). (1 set of four raka’).

In every raka’, after Surah FATIHA’ recite Surah QADR 3 times and Surah IKHLAS fifty times and after finishing touch of this salah (namaaz), recite this as soon as in prostration (sajdah):

“SUBHAAN ALLAAHI WAL HAMDU LILLAAHI WALAA ILAAHA ILLAL LAAHU WALLAA HU AKBAR”

advantage: After that some thing want one may have, both worldly or spiritual, can be thrilled. Allah willing (Insha’Allah), their supplication might be fulfilled.

 

7) on this night, recite Surah Mulk 7 instances. It is ideal for freeing from punishment.

 

Twenty ninth night of Ramadhan-Ul-Mubarak – fifth night time of Laitlat-Ul-Qadr

 

1) Pray four cycles of ritual prayer (raka’). (2 units of 2 raka’ each).

In each raka’, after Surah FATIHA recite Surah QADR as soon as and Surahh IKHLAS three instances. After salah, recite Surah ALAM’NASHRAH 70 times.

Advantage: Efective for the of entirety of Imaan.

 

2) provide four cycles of ritual prayer (raka’). (2 sets of 2 raka’ every).

3) Recite Surah WAAQIAH seven times. Beneficial for growth in Rizq.

 

In any night of RAMAZAN-UL-MUBARAK, after taraavih recite Surah QADR seven times. Allah inclined (Insha’Allah), the one who does so, could be stored from all problems and afflictions.

Fasting in Ramadan – Excellence and How To’s

Order and encouragement to fast

“O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you in order that you might learn piety . . . . The month of Ramadan is that wherein was revealed the Qur’an, as a guidance to mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the Criterion. So, whoever among you witnesses the month should fast.”

“Every deed of the Son of Adam is for himself, except fasting – it is for Me, and I shall reward it.” [Muslim, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah]

“There is not any believer who remains hungry, and abstains from the forbidden things, and does not wrongfully consume the wealth of Muslims, except that Allah will feed him from the fruits of Heaven.”[Musnad Abu Hanifah]

“Whoever fasts Ramadan with faith and expectation [of reward], his previous sins are forgiven him.”[Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i]

Rewards of fasting in general

“Fasting is a shield.” [Ahmad]

“There is not any servant who fasts a day in the path of Allah, except that Allah will distance him from the Fire by a distance of seventy years.” [Bukhari, Muslim]

“Fasting the month of patience and three days of each month remove rancor of the heart.” [Ahmad, Bazzar]

Warning against abandoning fasting in Ramadan

“Whoever breaks his fast in Ramadan without a [valid] concession or illness, he cannot repay it, even if he were to fast the rest of his life.” [Tirmidhi, Nasa’i, Ibn Majah]

Rules Related to Fasting

THE OBLIGATION OF FASTING

a) The time for fasting is from the rising of the second dawn until the setting of the sun.

b) Fasting is: abstention from eating, drinking and sexual intercourse by day with the intention.

THE INTENTION

The fasting is valid with an intention from the night, but if one did not intend until the morning, the intention suffices him between [dawn] and {the middle of the day}.
1.  Things which invalidates fasting and requires full recompense

1.1 If someone intentionally does one of the following without any valid excuse(see 6 below)

a) Does not fast at all

b) Breaks fast by eating, drinking and sexual activities

c) Assuming that cupping has broken ones fast thus quit fasting for the day.

1.2 Expiation for the above is to

a) Fast unceasingly for two months (60 days), if one breaks fats during this one has to start anew.

b) If unable to do so, it is to feed 60 needy persons two full meal

c) If unable to do so, it is to free one slave.
1.3 Things that break fast and requires one to fast similar numbers of days in recompense

a) If something is entered into the body during the hours when one is supposed to fast, irrelevant of how it entered into the body.(see 5)

  • To eat something which is not food such as stone particle or smoking anything.
  • When water enters stomach while gargling
  • When one is fed by force even when one is sleeping or unconscious
  • Inject medicine, place them on wounds which eventually gets in.
  • Eating by mistake thinking it is still night or iftar time is due while it is not.
  • Involuntary full mouth vomiting and subsequent swallowing of it or part of it.
  • When one is force into sexual intercourse or when one is sleeping or unconscious

b) Fasting without intention
c) Breaking (iftar) fast without the intention of doing so.
d) Lustful kissing of ones spouse
e) Emission of semen due to touching, kissing, masturbation.
f) Intentional vomiting.

2. Offensive acts during fasting

a) Backbiting, slander
b) To lie or deceive
c) To use abusive language
d) Not having iftar
e) Taste a food without swallowing it, using toothpaste.
f) Gargling water due to thirsts or hot weather.
g) Wrapping oneself with wet clothes.
h) Throwing up intentionally
i) Weakening the body (e.g. strenuous sport)
j) Gathering saliva and swallowing it;
3. Days when fasting is forbidden

a) Day of Eid al Fitr (Eid of Ramadan)
b) During Eid al ADHa 10, 11, 12 and 13 of month of Dhul Hijjah
4. Events when it is allowed to break the fast and fast later the similar number of days

a) If fasting aggravates health-condition
b) Snake biting
c) Thirsts due to newly developed disease
d) Genuine danger for a pregnant mother, or for her fetus.
e) Genuine fear for the life of a suckling infant
f) Reason to fear death
g) Menstruation
h) If one is a traveller

5. Things that do not break fast

a) Those things which would otherwise break fast does not do so when one is unaware of the fact that one is fasting(complete forgetfulness of fasting).

b) Entrance of insects (i.e mosquitos), smoke and dust from natural environment does not break fast.

c) Wet dream, swallowing ones own saliva when still in the mouth, brushing teeth, smearing oil, ointment on unwounded body do not break fast. or used antimony [in his eyes],

d) If one is overcome by vomiting, his fast is not broken.

6. Etiquettes and desirable practices for Fasting in Ramdan

  1. Preparing for the month.
  2. Bringing to mind the bounty of Allah.
  3. Purifying one’s intention
  4. Pre-dawn meal (suhur) as late as safely possible.
  5. Not unnecessarily delaying the breakingof the fast.
  6. Performing salat al-Maghrib soon after breakign the fast, then returning to eat.
  7. Making du`a at the time of breaking the fast.
  8. Enabling others to break their fasts.
  9. Abstaining from all forbidden deeds.
  10. Maintaining a pleasant disposition.
  11. Abundant reciting of the Qur’an.
  12. Abundant charity.
  13. Performing tarawih prayers.

7. Miscellaneous

a) The intention of fasting can be made as late as just before noon, if one forgets to do so during the previous night. If one passes noon without making the intention ones fasting is invalid.(1.3b)

b) One should eat before the day breaks even when one is not hungry.

c) For a woman whenever during the day menstruation stops she should be observing fasting even though it is not a fast for her. She should fast if it happens just before morning and did not have enough time to take shower and eat.

d) If a woman menstruates, she stops fasting and makes up [fasting for the days of menstruation].

e)  Someone who lost consciousness in Ramadan does not make up the day on which the loss of consciousness occurred, but he makes up that which came after it.

f) If a traveller arrives, or a [menstruating] woman attains purity with part of the day [remaining], they abstain [from those things which invaliate fasting] for the rest of that day.

Mustahab or Desirable Acts in wudu

There are 16 famous Mustahab or Desirable Acts in wudu.

 

  1. To perform Wudu facing the Qiblah while sitting at an elevated place
  2. Water should fall on pure place during ablution
  3. To rub the hands on every part of the body while letting the water flow thereon
  4. Take water by yourself for wudu.
  5. Don’t ask someone else’ to help you if not necessary.
  6. To do Wudu before Adhan(if possible).
  7. Moving the ring, and if tight then it is necessary to move it.
  8. Do Wudu with quite peace ensuring that no spot remains dry.
  9. To use earthen pot for abolution.
  10. Wash the face with both hands.
  11. To keep reciting Tasmiyah, Kalimah, Durood & other supplications during the whole process of Wudu besides keeping “Niyat” (intention) of the Wudu in mind.
  12. To do “Masah” of nape of the neck(not the neck).
  13. To wash the face with both hand.
  14. To recite Kalimah-e-Shahaadat after completion of Wudu, pointing the forefinger towards the sky, and also recite Surah “Al-Qadr”
  15. To drink a little of Wudu water.
  16. Not to completely dry up the washed parts otherwise necessary.

Note: These are Mustahab or Desirable Acts in wudu, which means if one doesn’t perform any of these, the wudu will still be valid, (Doesn’t mean you never perform them, it is better to be careful about Mustahab or Desirable Acts in wudu It is stated in Bukhari: Narrated Nu`am Al-Mujmir:
Once I went up the roof of the mosque, along with Abu Huraira. He perform ablution and said, “I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, “On the Day of Resurrection, my followers will be called “Al-Ghurr-ul- Muhajjalun” from the trace of ablution and whoever can increase the area of his radiance should do so (i.e. by performing ablution regularly).’ ”

There are also other Mustahab or Desirable Acts in wudu of ablution besides the afore-mentioned ones which may be referred to in voluminous books.

Obligatory And Sunnah Acts In Wudu

Obligatory Acts In Wudu

1.To wash the Face.
2. To wash both hands including the elbows.
3. To apply masah (wiping) on at least one-fourth of the head,
4. To wash the feet upto, inclusive of, ankles.
Sunnah Acts In Wudu

1.To make intention
2.Reciting “Bismil Laa-hir-Rahmaa-nir-Raheem” before you begin.
3.To wash hands upto the wrists three times
4.to apply “Miswaak”(tooth stick) to the teeth
5.to rinse the mouth three times
6. To sniff up water into nostrils thrice
7. To wash the mouth and sniff up water into nostrils with the right hand
8. To clean the nose with the left hand
9. To do “Khilaal” i.e. pass wet fingers through the beard
10.To pass wet fingers of the right hand through the left and the left’s through the right hand and pass the small finger of the left hand between the toes at the point of the feet
11.To wash all parts of the body thrice
12.To do “Masah” of the head once
13.To wipe inner sides of the ears with the forefingers and upper sides with the thumbs
14.To keep up sequence of the Wudu method i.e. to wash first the face then the hands, to do “Masah” of the head, wash the feet and so on
15.To do “Masah” of the beard (hair under the chin) i.e. to pass wet fingers upwards beginning from under the chin.
16.To wash all parts (limbs) in so succession that the first one do(es) not go dry on washing the next.
